NavNet Radar ARPA Settings<br />

In certain situations, echoes from very distance targets may appear as false echoes<br />

(second-trace echoes) on the screen. This occurs when the return echo is received<br />

one transmission cycle later, or after a next radar pulse has been transmitted.<br />

To choose the Radar receiver transmission mode:<br />

1. Click on the Stdby/Tx line to display the Pop-up menu<br />

2. Choose transmission status Standby or transmit<br />

3. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />

1. Check the Box to activate Auto<br />

Acquisition.<br />

2. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />

The ARP can acquire up to ten targets<br />

automatically by setting an automatic acquisition<br />

area. When automatic acquisition is selected<br />

after acquiring targets manually, only the<br />

remaining capacity for targets may be<br />

automatically acquired. For example, if seven<br />

targets have been manually acquired, three<br />

targets may be automatically acquired after<br />

switching to automatic acquisition.<br />

To set the CPA alarm range:<br />

1. Click on the CPA line to display the Pop-up<br />

menu<br />

2. Choose a CPA limit desired from 0.5 nm, 1<br />

nm, 2 nm, 3 nm, 5 nm and 6 nm.<br />

3. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />

Note Unit (nm) = miles<br />

To set the TCPA alarm range:<br />

1. Click on the TCPA line to display the Popup<br />

menu<br />

2. Choose a TCPA limit from 30 sec, 1 min, 2<br />

min, 3 min, 4 min, 5 min, 6 min and 12 min.<br />

3. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />

Note Unit (min) = minutes
