Targets Advanced Options<br />

This dialog allows to control precisely recording observation of targets according to a situation.<br />

Targets<br />

By default each target average are determined and do not need to be modified. This feature allows to control your Mobile<br />

database optimization.<br />

Some times, if you need to reduce the average interval of recorded frequency because there is too many targets in your<br />

navigation zone area or if you would navigate for a long time in this zone area etc...<br />

From <strong>MaxSea</strong> catalog:<br />

1. Click Plus symbol nearest [Targets],<br />

2. Click a chosen layer to pull down its menu<br />

3. Click "Advanced Options..." to display the appropriate dialog.<br />

This dialog enables for example modifying:<br />

1. Average Track/Trail recording interval.<br />

2. Average tracked mobile count.<br />

3. Average track duration.<br />

4. Average target received count.<br />

5. Average trail duration.<br />

A warning appears for wrong values and the changes are not applied.<br />

Notes:<br />

(1) - all the duration values are defined in second (time units) and the others are integer values.<br />

(2) - each default values are depending on a mobile type.<br />

ARPA overview<br />

When a target is selected on the radar, it is automatically displayed on the chart.<br />

<strong>MaxSea</strong> will display the icons for all the targets tracked by the connected radar.<br />

IMPORTANT<br />

the tracks of all the radar targets are recorded in the same file created by default by the software but which you<br />

can modify (see below).<br />
