This function magnifies not only targets but also sea clutter and radar interference. Choose Low, Medium, High as appropriate or OFF for no Reject. 3. Press [ENTER] to validate. Radar interference may occur when near another shipborne radar that is operating in the same frequency band as your radar. Its on-screen appearance looks like many bright dots either scattered at random or in the form of dotted lines extending from the center to the edge of the display. Interference effects are distinguishable from normal echoes because they do not appear in the same place on successive rotations of the scanner. Be sure to turn off the interference rejector when no interference exists weak targets

Click on the FTC line to display the Pop-up menu Radar OVERLAY 2. Adjust the range from 0 to 100% using arrows or modify it directly by entering the desired percentage value 3. Press [ENTER] to validate. Note : Do not overadjust the FTC weak target echoes may be missed. Note:Available with Model 1700 series radar. Inoperative otherwise. To suppress rain clutter from heavy storms or scattered rain clutter, adjust the FTC. The FTC splits up these unwanted echoes into a speckled pattern, making recognition of solid targets easier. Note: In addition to reducing clutter, the FTC can be used in fine weather to clarify the picture when navigating in confined waters. However, with the circuit active the receiver is less sensitive. Therefore, turn off the FTC, by setting it for 0, when its function is not required. To adjust the Noise Rejection level: 1. Click on the Noise Rejection line to display the Pop-up menu 2. Choose LOW or HIGH as appropriate or Off for no rejection 3. Press [ENTER] to validate. Electrical noise, appearing on the screen as speckles, may be suppressed with the noise rejector. Note that some forms of interference cannot be suppressed. The radar receiver can be tuned automatically or manually. To adjust it from MaxSea: 1. Click on the Tune Status line to display the Pop-up menu 2. Choose receiver tuning method Automatic or Manual 3. Press [ENTER] to validate. % 0-100 To Adjust the Tune value when working with Manual Tune Status: 1. Click on the Tune line to display the Pop-up menu 2. Adjust the range from 0 to 100% using arrows or modify it directly by entering the desired percentage value 3. Press [ENTER] to validate. On - Off 1. Check the Box to reject 2nd Echo signal 2.
