3D Bathymetric database<br />

• Before importing data to the 3D database, you are given the option to set some<br />

parameters, but you must click the Import button. Adjusting these parameters has no<br />

effect on the importing D.E.M. data.<br />

• It is possible to cancel the import if it takes too much time by clicking on the "STOP"<br />

button. Note that it will stop it at that point and not cancel the entire import.<br />

Import Vector Chart's Data<br />

First open the vector chart, by selecting [Open chart…] from [File ] menu<br />

Select a scale of the front window from 1:1000000 to 1:500, zoom on the region you want to import. <strong>MaxSea</strong> will<br />

import depth from ALL charts included inside the window, at ALL scales from the window scale up to scale<br />

1:500.<br />

Then select [Import to 3D database] from the [File] menu<br />

The following dialog box appears: select the type of data you wish to import :<br />

• Check the Vector chart box<br />

• Then Click on Ok.<br />

You have to define some parameters before importing data. (See "how to configure data import from C-Map CD")<br />

Start the 3D data import<br />

Once you have chosen the data to be imported and adjusted the parameters (if necessary) you can start the import.<br />
