1 - If you forgot to enter your personal codes before starting up the software, MaxSea shows automatically the
"Mapmedia Config. CD " dialogue box.
2 - you will have to carry out this configuration procedure before first using a Mapmedia CD-ROM and each time
that you receive new codes, following a new request for new charts.
Chart Display Fault
If you change your computer, the Mapmedia charts codes are lost. In this case it is necessary to enter the corresponding
codes again, as above.
Note: you will have to repeat this operation for each one of the CD-ROMs that you have (a series of codes per
CD-ROM). It is not necessary to insert a CD-ROM to enter the corresponding codes.
IMPORTANT - Be sure to keep track of your personal codes for Mapmedia charts.
Mapmedia 3D Batymetric Charts
Bathymetric data used by Mapmedia comes from the sounding campaigns realised by Ifremer and the Hydrographic
Services. They use multi-beam sounders covering the deep up to 7 times.
The whole of the data is then processed to obtain a matrix that contains the geographical (x,y) coordinates as well as the
(z) deep corresponding to every points.
Then, files are subsequently interpolated to guarantee regular information networking.
The 3D Mapmedia module allows the 3D display for a current chart zone for which you have already access rights. (refer
you to the Enter 3D Mapmedia codes paragraph from Installing charts chapter)
