<strong>MaxSea</strong> <strong>Operator</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> <strong>version</strong> <strong>12.6</strong><br />

Various informations from targets are displayed and updated in real time. Available default value in<br />

depends on the type of target you are displaying properties.<br />

Each Target options are listed below:<br />

1. "Time out" : allows you to enter a value when the target is considered as lost.<br />

2. Color allows you to change the colors of each Mobile target's symbol. Use this option to make<br />

targets more visible on the chart.<br />

3. PTF: allows you to choose a PTF file to store all the historic information of each target (such as<br />

its track).<br />

4. Trail / Track recording interval: allows you to select an appropriate Trail/Track recording<br />

interval (null by default).<br />

5. Alarm duration: enter a time interval for triggered alarm<br />

6. Trail observation delay: enter a time value to define when the trail will disappear from the chart.<br />

7. Track observation delay: enter a time value to define when the track will disappear from the<br />

chart.<br />

8. Color according to attribute: valid variable track color by default selected as Off.<br />

9. Color settings: allows you to determine the color range.<br />

10. Display label: allows to display the label on the chart.<br />

11. Label format: allows to choose which label you will display on the chart . Choices between each<br />

field of target details (see related topic Targets Layer's Center) .<br />

When the Mobile Properties Window is displayed you can see properties of an other target displayed on a<br />

chart by a simply clicking with the select tool on it. The Mobile properties Windows will then display the<br />

information requested.<br />

Target tracks<br />

Target's Track activation<br />

<strong>MaxSea</strong> displays targets on the chart , you can record its track in the same way as you would for your ship's track.<br />

<strong>Manual</strong> Tracking<br />

To activate the track on a Mobile you must :<br />

1. select a target or a series of target using the Select tool<br />

2. either RIGHT CLICK a target to bring up the context menu and choose Track On<br />

3. or for targets selected together, call up the appropriate Mobile center, select targets and click on the center<br />

toolbar "Action", choose and click again "Track on"<br />

The target track is saved in the layer "NameTarget.ptf". If it doesn't exist yet <strong>MaxSea</strong> will create and open it.<br />

When you leave <strong>MaxSea</strong> a dialog box appears asking you : "Do you want to save the targets tracks of this session" Yes<br />

or No.<br />

If Yes then <strong>MaxSea</strong> will propose to save the target track file as : NameTargets.ptf
