Option Range Operation Gain level % 0-100 To Adjust the Gain value when working on Manual mode: Mode Auto/Manual - Cruising, - Fishing, - Manual 1. Click on the Gain line to display the Pop-up menu Software Options 2. Adjust the range from 0 to 100% using arrows or modify it directly by entering the desired percentage value 3. Press [ENTER] to validate. Adjusting the gain Normally, set the gain to the point where excessive noise does not appear on the screen. Use a higher gain setting for greater depths and a lower setting for shallow waters. More info... Gain to High Gain proper Gain low To define the auto mode: 1. Click on the Mode Auto line to display the Pop-up menu 2. Choose the mode Cruising or Fishing as appropriate or Manual MODE to adjust it manually 3. Press [ENTER] to validate. Automatic Sounder Operation Two types of automatic sounder modes are available: CRUISING is for tracking the bottom, FISHING is for searching fish schools. CRUISING uses a higher clutter rejection setting than FISHING therefore it is not recommended for fish detection - weak fish echoes may be erased by the clutter suppression circuit. 501
