Open Mapmedia mm2 charts<br />

The process of opening and closing Mapmedia mm2 chart is different from that used for Mapmedia v1 charts.<br />

When Mapmedia mm2 charts are installed and registered they are permanent and they are stored in a catalog.<br />

1. To open a new mm2 Mapmedia chart you have to enable the procedure of recording mm2 Mapmedia charts.<br />

2. To Close a mm2 Mapmedia chart, moreover not to display it in <strong>MaxSea</strong>, you have to delete the chart from the<br />

Mapmedia mm2 catalog. When you delete the chart from catalog it will not appear any more in the display on<br />

the other hand it is not deleted from the hard disk.<br />

Mapmedia mm2 charts were recorded and the licences were entered, "Mapmedia mm2" option appears in the charts<br />

information drop-down menu list.<br />

Catalog of Mapmedia mm2 charts<br />

Mapmedia mm2 charts are listed in a catalog which includes all the information linked to the charts which are in your<br />

ownership.<br />

To access the Mapmedia mm2 charts catalog, select the function [Charts Catalog..] from the menu [File].<br />

All the useful information linked to your charts are shown in this catalog<br />

1. Chart Number Reference<br />

2. Name of the Manufacturer which is here Mapmedia,<br />

3. Its Chart title<br />

4. Its reference scale,<br />

5. Its recording status allows organization of the charts which are usable in <strong>MaxSea</strong> and those of which are not<br />

because of a detected problem. See also below available statuses list.<br />

6. Its revision Date<br />

7. Its Edition Date<br />

8. Its Region of membership,<br />

9. The file location path on the hard disk,<br />

10. The last date the <strong>MaxSea</strong> charts were used.<br />

Besides its informative function, the catalog will become useful as a real cartography management tool:<br />

The Status allows the user to know which of his charts are available, and if not, what is the type of problem.<br />

List of available statuses, that can happen:<br />

1. No Permit : the user recorded his .mm2 file, but has no corresponding licence. He has to open his (".mxconfig"<br />

or ".pm2 ") license file.<br />

2. Bad Permit : the licence was entered in but the mm2 chart was not recorded. In this case, the user has to<br />

record his .mm2 charts.
