The X th Paneuropean corridor includes the following routes:
a) Graz – Maribor – Zidani Most
b) Budapest – Novi Sad – Beograd
c) Niš – Sofija
d) Veles – Bitola – Florina through Egnatie
4.1 Alternative routes of the X th Paneuropean Corridor
For each corridor, also for the X th corridor, there exist alternative routes, to which the transport flows,
which were originally intended for the main corridor, can be redirected.
After gaining its independence the Republic of Slovenia noticed a significant decrease in the amount
of transport, for more than 80%; especially on the route Ljubljana – Jesenice. Some cargo was
redirected from the X th Corridor to the V th Paneuropean Corridor.
The alternatives to the route of the X th Corridor are shown on the following figure.
