SOURCE-BTU/HRSOURCE-SCHEDULEPROCESS -Both HOT-WATER loads will be passed to anydomestic hot water heater defined in thePLANT-EQUIPMENT command.load will not contribute a utility load on PLANT(e.g., cooling load caused by a self-contained,portable energy source or other industrial processes).Examples of this type of load aregasoline powered fork trucks, oxyactetylenewelders, wood stoves, bottled gas equipment,etc. The user should sum up all the PROCESSloads in the zone, be they electrical, gas, hotwater, solar, nuclear, etc. and express thetotal in Btu/hr. This total value should beexpressed with the keyword SOURCE-BTU/HR. Theportion of the total PROCESS load that entersthe zone as a heating or cooling load is thenspecified by using the SOURCE-LATENT andSOURCE-SENSIBLE keywords.This keyword is not operative unless SOURCESCHEDULE is defined.Note: Do not use the code-word ELECTRIC forspecifying electrically heated hot water.Also, do not use the code-word GAS to specifygas heated hot water. In both cases, specifySOURCE-TYPE ~ HOT-WATER. This will pass ademand for hot water to PLANT, where the hotwater heater'is specified along with its fueltype. The first approach will pass the wrongtype of demand to PLANT.is the maximum amount of energy supplied by the sourcedefined by SOURCE-TYPE. This is the maximum amount ofenergy in Btu/hr required to operate devices, other thanlighting and equipment, within the SPACE and is notnecessarily the sensible and/or latent heat addeOiDy thesource(s) to the cooling load of the SPACE (see SOURCESENSIBLE and SOURCE-LATENT).The actual source energy required by the SPACE, during anygiven hour, is the value assigned to this keyword multipliedby the fractional value assigned to that hour (see SOURCESCHEDULE). This amount of SOURCE-BTU/HR energy added to thecooling load of the SPACE, if any, may be specified bySOURCE-LATENT and SOURCE-SENSIBLE.identifies the schedule for any source of internal energy(such as process equipment within a space) other thanpeople, lights, or electrical equipment.
