Total systemair flow is affected by operation of the induction box units. These unitsreduce supply air flow during periods when supply air is colder than requiredby their respective subzones, while simultaneously introducing room (or ceilingplenum) air into the mixing box, so that the flow of air into the space remainsrelatively constant. Because induction flow is limited to a maximum of 50 percent, reheat coils may be installed if further primary air heating is required.Exhaust fan(s) are optional for any or all zones. The program assumesthat a heating coil is installed (downstream of the cool ing coil) if maximumhumidity control is specified (keyword MAX-HUMIDITY). The Btu equivalent ofthe moisture that is added to the air stream, to maintain a minimum humidity,is passed to the PLANT program as a heating load.A number of optional features and control strategies can be specified forthis system. The optional features are discussed in Table IV.2 and the sectionentitled, "Explanation of System Options" (immediately following Table IV.2).The possible control strategies for this system are discussed in Sec.
