8. ENERGY-STORAGEThe ENERGY-STORAGE instruction is used to define the useful hourlycapacity of a hot and/or cold water storage tank and to schedule the introductionof hot or cold liquids in both. Furthermore, the rate at which energycan be stored in and delivered from these tanks is also specified.The ENERGY-STORAGE instruction must always be accompanied by aPLANT-EQUIPMENT, SCHEDULE, LOAD-ASSIGNMENT, and LOAD-MANAGEMENT instruction.In addition, a HEAT-RECOVERY instruction must also be defined for a hot waterstorage tank.The user is cautioned in using the defaults for this instruction becausethose that are zero will either prevent the storage of energy (seeHEAT -STORE-RATE, COOL-STORE-RATE) or el iminate tan k losses (see HTANK-LOSS-COEFand CTAN
