MAX-HUMIDITYis the highest allowable relative humidity (R.H.) in thezone, or zones, served by the system. Because the programcalculates the relative humidity in the return air, dehumidification is based on the average humidity condicionfor all the zones served by the system, as weighted by therelative return air flow rate from each zone. This dataentry should be used only for those systems that have thecomponents required for control of excess humidity (i.e., ahumidistat and a heating coil downstream of the coolingcoil). If no data entry is made, the program will assumethat humidity control capability does not exist. The defaultvalue of 100 per cent is intended to specify no upper limiton humidity, that is, no humidity control. The program will not force the cooling coil to perform beyondits dehumidification capability. The program will not beable to hold a specified MAX-HUMIDITY if MIN-SUPPLY-T is notlow enough. Fig. IV.21 shows one type of dehumidificationcycle.Cooling andDeh u mid if ic at ion ---.'-0,'/79toO%.
