PLANT-PARAMETERSThe PLANT-PARAMETERS instruction is used to change the value of many ofthe variables used by the PLANT program in the simulation of plant components.The variables are listed by category or function in the PLANT-PARAMETERS UserWorksheet. Any variable (keyword) listed in the user worksheet may be specifiedand its value assigned by the user. PLANT-PARAMETERS are used togetherwith other PLANT variables and EQUIPMENT-QUAD functions. The user is urged tocarefully review the equipment simulation descriptions in the DOE-2 EngineersManual before changing any of the PLANT-PARAMETERS default values .. Detailed descriptions of how the variables represented by each keywordare used in the PLANT program calculations are provided in the DOE-2 EngineersManual. Additional discussion of specific keywords is provided in the textthat follows. A summary of these keywords is presented in Table V.5.PLANT-PARAMETERSCh ill ersCHILLER-CONTROLCHILL-WTR-TCHILL-WTR-THROTTLECOMP-TO-TWR-WTRThis command word informs the POL Processor that the datato follow will specify a new default value for one ormore of the variables.accepts a code-word that defines the chiller controlscheme. Default is DEMAND-ONLY, and the alternative isSTANDBY (see BOILER-CONTROL keyword description). TheSTANDBY mode is normal for central systems.specifies the chilled water temperature at the middle ofthe throttling range for chillers. Default is 44"F.is the throttling range of the temperature controller onthe chiller.specifies the ratio of cooling tower water flow (gpm) tocompression chiller capacity (ton).MIN-COND-AIR-T specifies the minimum enterin~ air temperature allowedfor an air-cooled condenser (F). This is the minimumoperating temperature below which control action isinitiated to maintain at least this temperature.DBUN-TO-TWR-WTRABSORI-HIRABSOR2-HIRABSORS-HIRspecifies the ratio of cooling tower water flow (gpm) todouble-bundled chiller capacity (ton).specifies the full-load heat input ratio for a I-stageabsorption chiller. The heat input ratio is the ratio ofheat energy input to cooling energy output.specifies the full-load heat input ratio for a 2-stageabsorption chiller with an economizer (see ABSORI-HIR).specifies the full-load heat input ratio for asolar-driven absorption chiller.
