B. INSTRUCTION DESCRIPTIONSIn the previous section of this chapter it was necessary to use some ofthe legal commands, keywords, and code-words just to explain the concepts ofBDL. It was not intended that the user understand the exact meanings of thesewords. Rather, the user should now understand the concepts of commands, keywords, terminators, input sequences, etc.In this section the user's attention will be redirected from the conceptsunderlying BDL to the meanings of certain commands, keywords, and code-words.There exists a selected set of commands, keywords, and code-words that areappropriate to all the simulators (LOADS, SYSTEMS, PLANT, and ECONOMICS). Toavoid redundancy they are listed and defined here, in the order in which theyare normally input, and will not appear in each simulator chapter. All thefollowing instructions are input instructions and, as such, must appearbetween an INPUT instruction and an END instruction (or between aPARAMETRIC-INPUT instruction and an END instruction). Exceptions to this rulewill be noted with the appropriate instruction description.1. INPUTThe INPUT instruction indicates that the instructions to follow containdata for a particular program (see Typical Run Instruction Sequences section). The instruction takes the formINPUTProgram-Namewhere Program-Name is a code-word indicating the simulation program for whichsubsequent instructions are intended.Rules: 1. The code-word must be one of the following: LOADS,· SYSTEMS,PLANT, or ECONOMICS.Ex amp le:2. The INPUT instruction must precede any instruction for aparticular program.3. In a parametric run, the INPUT instruction should appear on aseparate line.INPUT LOADS .•The above instruction indicates that subsequent instructions pertain to theLOADS program and should be processed by the LOADS input processor.2. PARAMETRIC-INPUTThe PARAMETRIC-INPUT instruction indicates that the following instructionsconsist only of parametric modifications to data entered following the previousINPUT instruction for the same program (see Parametric Run InstructionSequences section).11.15 (Revised 5/81)
