For an exterior wall, the sequence ofelements in the list is the sequence of the material layersin the exterior wall, starting with the exterior layer andending with the interior layer. For an interior wall, thesequence of elements in the list is the sequence of materiallayers in the interior-wall, starting with the layer on theopposite side of the wall and ending with the layer on thenear side of the wall. Reversing this sequence can notablyaffect the thermal performance of a wall.identifies a list that gives the thickness; in feet, foreach material in the construction. The list has the samenumber and order of elements as the immediately precedingMATERIAL instruction. If no thickness is specified, it willbe taken from the MATERIAL instruction.The outside film coefficient of an exterior wall or roofshould not be specified as a layer because it is calculatedby the LOADS program as a function of surface roughness andwi nd speed.The list identified by MATERIAL and THICKNESS must have aone-to-one correspondence.
