The user may speci fy both types of wei ghting factors in onesimulation run; that is, some spaces may use PrecalculatedWeighting Factors and other spaces may use Custom WeightingFactors.ZONE-TYPEis used to identify whether the space is conditioned, unconditioned, or a plenum. For LOADS calculations, aplenum is identical to unconditioned space. The loads foran unconditioned space or a plenum will not appear in thebuilding-level reports, LS-C, LS-D, and LS-F. Thecode-words are explained in the following table.Description of SpaceThe space is heated and/or cooledCode-word for ZONE-TYPECONDITIONEDThe space is neither heated not cooled, but is adjacent to one or more conditionedspaces (such as false ceilingspaces not used as return air plenums, attics)Return air plenumsUNCONDITIONEDPLENUMThe following keywords may be specified if the user electsto use Custom Weightings Factors:WEIGHTING-FACTORFURN-FRACTIONFURNITURE-TYPEFURN-WEIGHTaccepts as input a U-name of eight or less alphanumericcharacters. This U-name will e used to identify the CustomWeighting Factors for this space in the library that isbeing created in a LIBRARY-INPUT LOADS run. After theCustom Weighting Factors have been stored in the library, they may be assigned to any space in a DOE-2 simulation runby entering WEIGHTING-FACTOR; U-name in an INPUT LOADS run.accepts a fraction that defines the fraction of floor areathat is covered by the furniture. It determines thefraction of the incoming solar energy that is absorbed bythe furn iture.accepts a code-word (LIGHT or HEAVY) describing the thermalresponse of the furniture in the space. "LIGHT" representsa furniture density of approximately 40 lb/ft3 offurniture (1 ike pine furniture). "HEAVY" represents itemsin.a space like equipment weighing approximately 80 lb/ft3 .is the weight of furniture in pounds per square foot offloor area. The value of this keyword is the total weightof furniture in pounds divided by the total floor area ofthe space (not just the floor area covered by the furniture). For example, if the furniture weighs 1000 lb and thetotal floor area is 500 ft2, then FURN-WEIGHT ; 2.0.II I. 53 (Rev ised 5/81)
