TABLE IV.32Code-WordCONDITIONEDUNCONDITIONEDPLENUMZONE-TYPEThe zone is heated and/or cooled, depending on thetype of system selected. This zone is neither heated nor cooled, but is locatedadjacent to one or more of the conditioned zonesassigned to this system (false ceiling spaces not usedas return air plenums are in this category). The zone is a space used as a plenum for return air.All electrical loads are ignored. Heat to the plenumfrom other spaces is added into this zone during t~esimulation. An above-ceiling space with return airpassing through internal air ducts does not qualify asa PLENUM. Zonal systems (UHT, UVT, TPIU, FPIU, TPFC,FPFC, HP, and PTAC) do not allow plenums.ZONE-AIRZONE-CONTROLMULTIPLIERMAX-HEAT-RATEis a U-name previously assigned under the subcommandZONE-AIR. The specified U-name matches the correct"ZONE-AIR" to each "ZONE". No data entry here will resultin default to the values specified under the subcommandZONE-AIR.An alternative mode for data entry is to complete and enterZONE-AIR keywords directly into ZONE (if this approach ischosen, omit the ZONE-AIR instruction here in ZONE.)The preceding discussion of the keyword ZONE-AIR appliesequally to this keyword when the keyword names arei nterch anged.is the number of zones in the facility that are identical tosome speci f i ed zone, and are to be ass i gn ed to the samesystem (i.e., rather than describing 10 similar thermalzones, a multiplier of 10 can be used on a single zone). This data entry is used only when the facility has a numberof identical rooms or spaces and; to simplify LOADS Programinput, all of them have been speci fied with a- s ingl e SPACEinstruction, by use of the analogous keyword MULTIPLIER (seeSPACE instruction Chap. III). The value entered here shouldmatch the value entered for MULTIPLIER in the SPACEinstruction.Warning: MULTIPLIER must be used with care for ZONEs thathave INTERIOR-WALLs in common (see SPACE instruction,Chap. III). .is the maximum net heat addition rate from the air systemfor the zone. MAX-HEAT-RATE does not include the baseboardIV.199 (Revised 5/81)
