Prepare and enter a ZONE instruction for each thermal zone inthe building. A thermal zone is defined as: 1) an area (orspace) having a common temperature control, 2) an unconditionedspace, or 3) a plenum. At least one "conditioned" thermal zonemust be specified for each different system simulated. A ZONEinstruction should be prepared and entered for each SPACEinstruction entered for the LOADS program and, furthermore, theZONE instruction must have the same U-name as the SPACE instructionand represent the same physical area of the building.)g. One or more CURVE-FIT commands may be input if and when neededto represent equipment operation (see SYSTEM-EQUIPMENT) whendefault values are inappropriate for a user's simulation.h. One or more of the SYSTEM subcommands SYSTEM-CONTROL,SYSTEM-AIR, SYSTEM-FANS, SYSTEMS-TERMINAL, SYSTEM-FLUID, andSYSTEM-EQUIPMENT, may be used to enter system data (in lieu ofentering this data directly with the SYSTEM instruction). Theuser may prepare and enter as many of each type as there aresystem-to-system variations in the specified data. Once aSYSTEM subcommand is labeled and data are entered for theapplicable keywords, it can be referenced by any number ofdifferent SYSTEM instructions, thus reducing data input effort.A SYSTEM subcommand, when used, must always be entered beforethe SYSTEM instruction in which it is referenced.Prepare and enter a SYSTEM instruction for each system beingsimulated. At least one system must be Simulated per computerrun.i. Use the PLANT-ASSIGNMENT instruction if a comparison study isdesired of different types, sizes, or arrangements of systemsusing the parallel parametric run feature of the SYSTEMS program(described in subsection 2 of this section). OnePLANT-ASSIGNMENT instruction must be prepared and entered foreach system (or group of systems) to be compared.j. Prepare a SYSTEMS-REPORT instruction defining which verificationand/or summary reports are to be printed. Toobtain these reports, instructions that define the variables tobe printed and the desired time should be prepared.
