REPORT SS-F - ZONE MONTHLY DEMAND SUMMARYThis report gives monthly values of eight different zone-relatedquantities. The user-name of the zone (SPACEl-l) is given in the title of thereport, along with the HVAC system (SYST-l) which serves this zone. Found inthis report are the monthly sums for zone heating and cooling demands from theHVAC system, minimum and maximum zone air temperatures, and the number ofhours the loads are not met in the zone. The report is presented zone-by-zone.l~ HEAT EXTRACTION LOAD and HEAT ADDITION LOAD (millions of Btu). Thesemonthly totals are the sensible cooling and heating requirements, respectively, of this zone during the HVAC system operation hours. Theseloads are both sensible and latent. For RESYS systems, the heatextraction may include natural ventilation. For plenums, these valuesare for heat extraction and addition induced by the return air flow. Forunconditioned zones, these values should be zero.2. BASEBOARD ENERGY (millions of Btu) and MAXIMUM BASEBOARD ENERGY(thousands of Btu/hr). When the keyword BASEBOARD-RATIO is used, thezone heating is supplied by baseboards. Monthly heating energyrequirements for these baseboards are reported in addition to the peakheating requirement.3. MAXIMUM ZONE TEMPERATURE (OF) and MINIMUM ZONE TEMPERATURE (OF). Themonthly maximum and minimum air temperatures, during system operation(when fans are operating), in this zone are reported for checking spacetemperature variations. Extreme air temperatures frequently occur at atime when the HVAC system has just been activated. When the fans are notoperating for an entire month, the minimum will be shown as 200 of andthe maximum as 0 of. These are initialization values and should not betaken as the temperature to which the zone has floated.4. HOURS UNDERHEATED and HOURS UNDERCOOLED. If the capacity of the HVACsystem is less than the hourly heat extraction or heat addition load forthis zone, a load-not-met is recorded as either an underheated orundercooled hour. The number of nours reported as underheated orundercooled may be startups after a night shutdown of the HVAC system.VII.67
