The LIKE command will duplicate only user input keywords and keywordvalues, not program-calculated values. For example, in the instructionBROWN-ROOM; SPACELIKE BLUE-ROOMthe BROWN-ROOM will be assigned a WIDTH of 30.0 and an LENGTH of 50.5, not anAREA of 1515, the product of 30.0 and 50.5.Rules: 1.2.3.4.5.The LIKE keyword may be used only in those instructions havingLIKE listed as a valid keyword.If the LIKE keyword is used, it must be the first keyword used inan instruct i on.The instruction, whose name is used as the value for LIKE, must beentered before the instruction containing the LIKE keyword.The word EXCEPT, after the value for LIKE, is optional.Only instructions of the same type of command may use the LIKEkeyword. Example: A DOOR instruction cannot use the U-name ofWINDOW as a LIKE keyword value.6. The code-words, which identify materials and walls in the <strong>DOE</strong>-2Library of MATERIALs, LAYERS and CONSTRUCTIONs (BDLLIB), are notU-names. Therefore, these code-words cannot be used in a LIKEkeyword.If the user has specified an incorrect value in an instruction, which issubsequently referenced in other instructions with a LIKE keyword, the errordiagnostics will not be repeated in the subsequent instructions.For example:WINDOW-I; WINDOWHEIGHT; 5WIDTH ; 3DEPTH ; 4ERRORWINDOW-2 ; WINDOWLIKE WINDOW-I ..WINDOW-3 ; WINDOWLIKE WINDOW-I ..DEPTHUNKNOWN KEYWORDDEPTH is not a valid keyword for WINDOW, therefore, it was rejected forWINDOW-l and an error diagnostic was printed. Although WINDOW-2 and WINDOW-3included the LIKE WINDOW-l keyword and value, DEPTH; 4 in both cases will berejected, but the error diagnostic will not be repeated.11.5 (Revised 5/81)
