9) Cold Deck Temperature Control Option: Cold deck temperature fordual duct air systems can be malntalned constant, can be reset inaccordance with outside air temperature, can be scheduled in time,or can be based on the requirements of the warmest zone served bythe system (see keywords COOL-CONTROL, COOL-SET-T, COOL-SET-SCH, andCOOL-RESET-SCH in the SYSTEM-CONTROL subcommand).10) Baseboard Heat Option: Baseboard heating may be specified for oneor mere zones (see keywords BASEBOARD-RATING in the ZONE instructionand BASEBOARD-SCH in the SYSTEM-CONTROL subcommand). The heatingelement output may be controlled thermostatically or may beautomatically reset on the basis of outside air temperature (seekeyword BASEBOARD-CTRL in the ZONE-CONTROL subcommand.11) Minimum Humidity Control Option: Minimum humidity control, by controlof relatlve humldlty ln the return air, can be specified (seekeyword MIN-HUMID lTY in the SYSTEM-CONTROL subcommand ). The programconverts any increase in absolute humidity into a heat load (Btu/hr)and passes th is load to the PLANT pro gam.12) Maximum Humidity Control Option: Maximum humidity control, bycontrol of relative humidity in the return air, can be specified(see keyword MAX-HUMIDITY in the SYSTEM-CONTROL subcommand).13)14)15)16)17)Thermostat Option:be speclfled, l.e.,action proportionalsubcommand) .Three different types of thermostat action cantwo-position, proportional band, and reverse(see keyword THERMOSTAT-TYPE in the ZONE-CONTROLHeat Recovery Option: Recovery of heat from exhausted air, forpreheating outside air, can be simulated (see keyword RECOVERY-EFFin the SYSTEM-AIR subcommand). Heat recovery, from double-bundlechillers and other types of primary equipment, is simulated by thePLANT program.Subzones Option: One or mere subzones, with optional reheat coiltemperature control and variable-air volume flow, can be specifiedfor SYSTEM-TYPE ~ SZRH or PSZ (see keyword ZONE-NAMES in the SYSTEMinstruction and keywords REHEAT-DELTA-T and MIN-CFM-RATIO in theSYSTEM-TERMINAL subcommand).Variable Flow Option: The normally constant flow simulation for theDual Duct Fan System (DDS) can be changed to a variable flowsimulation by supplying an entry for keyword MIN-CFM-RATIO (seeSYSTEM-TERMINAL subcommand). This entry specifies the flowreduction permitted before mixing of hot and cold air streams isinitiated to prevent additional decrease in flow.Equipment Sizing Ratio: It is possible to deliberately oversize orundersize the system equipment. The possible reasons for doing thisinclude (1) trying to incorporate an equipment safety factor, (2)I V.16 (Revised 5/81)
