Note that <strong>DOE</strong>-2requires the specification of separate heating and cooling set points,despite the fact that the thermostat installed in this case, has only oneset point. These set points must be separated by exactly oneTHROTTLING-RANGE, to avoid erroneous simulation of a deadband. (Theactual thermostat has a proportional band that is twice the simulatedTHROTTLING-RANGE.) The actual thermostat set point is at the point wherethe heating and cooling throttling ranges meet.IV.170 (Revised 5/81)
