13. PLANT-ASSIGNMENTThe special feature of the SYSTEMS program permitting the simulation ofmultiple HVAC system alternatives in a single computer run (see thePLANT-ASSIGNMENT instruction in Chap. IV) is not available in the PLANT program.A separate PLANT run must be executed for each of the HVAC alternativesunder consideration. The function of the PLANT-ASSIGNMENT instruction in thePLANT input is to identify the HVAC system or systems to be supported by theplant equipment. A PLANT-ASSIGNMENT instruction must be specified for eachseparate PLANT run. A separate PLANT run is initiated each time the instructionINPUT PLANT is specified.------;".---;co;;;::;-------; PLANT -ASS I GNMEN T or P-AU-nameU-nameThe user must enter the U-name of the appropriatePLANT-ASSIGNMENT instruction defined in the SYSTEMS programinput.PLANT-ASSIGNMENT This command word informs the POL Processor that the energydemands of the HVAC system or systems referenced by U-nameare to be met by PLANT equipment.-Rules: 1. A maximum of 40 different PLANT runs may beaccomplished in a single submittal. These runsmay reference any of the 4 U-names assigned inSYSTEMS.2. If a building has more than one PLANT a separatesimulation must be made for each PLANT. The resultsare not summed by the progam.3.
