(3) Attach the LDL instructions, beginning with an "INPUT LOADS •. "instruction and ending with a "STOP " " instruction.(4) Submit the deck for prbcessing.2. LDL Input SequenceThis section describes the input sequence of the LDL instructions for theLOADS program. A detailed description of each instruction is inChap. III, Sec B.To begin the input data for the LOADS program, the user must first enterINPUT LOADS ..which informs the LDL processor that data in the following instructionswill apply to the LOADS program. This instruction may be followed by anyof the SOL control instructions described in Chap. II that definevariables, set default values, select schedules, etc. The sequence ofinstructions is arbitrary except when the data hierarchy referencingfeatures are used. The instruction sequence of the following examplesillustrates the preferred sequence to minimize errors. The identification and control instructions areTITLEABORTDIAGNOSTICRUN-PERIODThe TITLE instruction is used to define the name of the building, thedate, the name of the architect/engineer or any other identifying information.ABORT sets the error level that will cause the program toterminate after processing the language. The DIAGNOSTIC instructionestablishes a message level for printing diagnostic information. TheRUN-PERIOD instruction identifies the time interval(s) for thecomp utat ions. The next instructionBUILDING-LOCATIONis used to specify the building location on the surface of the earth. If an object shades an exterior surface of the building, this object mustbe described by theBUILDING-SHADEinstruction. This instruction will direct the program to properly accountfor the reauction of direct solar radiation. Any surface that interceptssolar radiation (such as a hill, tree, nearby building, or other surfacesof the building being simulated) should be included.I 11.3 (Revised 5/81)
