The number of hours entered should equal theoperating hours already on the equipment. It is importantthat the number of hours used is not equal to or greaterthan the value entered or defaulted for keywordEQUIPMENT-LIFE as this will result in calculation error. If the actual hours used is equal to or greater than theEQUIPMENT-LIFE input, estimate the remaining useful life.Subtract the remaining useful life from the value enteredor defaulted for EQUIPMENT-LIFE and enter the differencefor HOURS-USED. Note that a non-zero value implies thatthe equipment is not new, so no first-cost data will appearin output reports except on replacements.1. At least one PLANT-EQUIPMENT instruction must be entered for eachcomputer run of PLANT Program.2. A separate PLANT-EQUIPMENT instruction is required for each TYPE and SIZEof equipment specified.3.
