The energy consumed is the furnacepart-load-ratio times the value of FURNACE-AUX in Btu/hr.The program assumes that no energy is consumed when thereis no load on the furnace.is the U-name of a linear, quadratic, or cubic equationthat describes the fraction of the unused furnace capacitythat is an induced load (dependent variable) as a functionof outdoor dry-bulb temperature. The unused furnacecapacity (HEATING-CAPACITY minus the furnace load,assuming no loss) is multiplied by this function and theresult is added to the furnace load. The loss is onlyadded during the hour the furnace operated. This loss isusually caused by infiltration induced by a non-outsideair supplied burner or off-cycle furnace cooling. Thereis no default value or curve.FURNACE-HIR-FPLR * accepts the U-name of a linear, quadratic, or cubicequation that defines the dependence of FURNACE-HIR onpart-load ratio. The equation must be input to theprogram and U-named in a CURVE-FIT instruction. Theequation should be normalized so that at full load itsval ue is 1. 0 .* Input for this keyword should be made only if the user is not satisfiedwith the default values built into the program. Additionally, if theuser decides to specify a U-name, it should not be one of the reserved"Default Curve U-names" in Table IV.39.
