PHLEGM TURBIDITY INTERNALLYBINDING PATTERNMAIN SYMPTOMS: Slightly dry mouth and eyes, parotidregion swollen and distended, gradual enlargement that doesnot disperse, swollen submaxillary nodules which are difficultto move, fixed, circumscribed lumps in the abdomenwhich are also immovable possibly accompanied by pain,cough, chest oppression, pr<strong>of</strong>use phlegm, a pale tongue withwhite, slimy fur, and a bowstring, slippery pulse. This patternis mostly seen in those where the disease course has beenprolonged and in whom habitual bodily yin vacuity and drynessare severe. It may also be encountered in those who eattoo much sweet, thick-flavored, fatty foods, or in those whoare repeatedly invaded by damp heat evils.
