Ifthere are accumulation lumps below the rib-side and pain, add15 grams each <strong>of</strong> Bie Jia (Carapax Trionycis) and Dan Shen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae ).ACUPUNCTURE & MOXIBUSTION: Ri Yue (GB 24) (rightside), Dan Shu (Bl 19), Tai Chong (Liv 3), Zu San Li (St 36)ANALYSIS OF FORMULA: Supplementing Zu San Li fortifiesthe spleen and disinhibits dampness. Supplementing TaiChong nourishes liver blood. Together, these two points forma special combination for the treatment <strong>of</strong> jaundice andcholecystitis. Ri Yue is the alarm point <strong>of</strong> the gallbladder,while Dan Shu is its back transport point, both <strong>of</strong> whichhave a direct connection with the gallbladder not mediatedby the channels and network vessels. <strong>The</strong>refore, they are veryeffective for disinhibiting the gallbladder, expelling stones,and stopping pain in the gallbladder.ADDITIONS & SUBTRACTIONS: If a stone in the bile ductis suspected, add Dan Nang Xue (M-LE-23) and/or YangLing Quan (GB 34).
