Qi vacuity resultsin fatigue, spontaneous perspiration, and loss <strong>of</strong> strength. Sinceit is the qi which moves the blood, qi vacuity may also becomecomplicated by blood stasis. If yin becomes damaged and insufficientto control yang, effulgent fire may be engendered internally.Because the kidneys are the child <strong>of</strong> the lungs, lung yinvacuity may also reach kidney yin. If vacuous yin fails to controlyang, there will be low-grade fevers and night sweats. If heatdamages the network vessels in the lungs, there will be hackingor coughing <strong>of</strong> blood. If both yin and yang become damaged,there will be yin and yang dual vacuity.
