Ma Huang, Xing Ren, andSang Bai Pi diffuse and downbear the lung qi. Xing Ren, GuaLou, and Jie Geng disperse phlegm. Lian Qiao and Ban LanGen clear heat both in the defensive and qi divisions. WithHuang Qin, they also resolve toxins.
