Huang Qi, Dang Shen,Bai Zhu, and mix-fried Gan Cao supplement the center andboost the qi. Chai Hu and Sheng Ma upbear the yang qi forbetter nourishment <strong>of</strong> the face. Chen Pi rectifies the qi, whileDang Gui harmonizes the blood. In addition, Huang Qi,Dang Gui, and Bai Shao nourish the blood to replenish thevessels, while Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, and Chi Shao quickenthe blood and dispel stasis. Man Jing Zi and Xi Xin stoppain, especially in the head and face.
