Bai Zhu, Bai Bian Dou, Fu Ling, YiYi Ren, Chen Pi, and Sha Ren dry, seep, disinhibit, and/ortransform dampness. In addition, Sha Ren warms the spleenand Chen Pi rectifies the qi. If there are simultaneous wind cold dampevils, add nine grams each <strong>of</strong> Wei Ling Xian (RadixClematidis), Qiang Huo (Radix Et Rhizoma Notopterygii),and Du Huo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis). If there are simultaneouswind damp heat evils, add nine grams each <strong>of</strong> Qin Jiao(Radix Gentianae Macrophyllae), Cang Zhu (RhizomaAtractylodis), and Huang Bai (Cortex Phellodendri). If pain isexperienced primarily in the upper body, add nine grams each<strong>of</strong> Jiang Huang (Rhizoma Curcumae Longae) and Sang Zhi(Ramulus Mori).
