We believe that people with disabilities have different skills <strong>and</strong><br />

talents that can also enhance <strong>our</strong> bus<strong>in</strong>ess. In 2011, Valérie<br />

Roma<strong>in</strong> was appo<strong>in</strong>ted Disability Champion <strong>in</strong> <strong>Nestlé</strong> France.<br />

After sign<strong>in</strong>g a Group disability agreement <strong>in</strong> 2013, the Mission<br />

Disability Department was made responsible for ensur<strong>in</strong>g the<br />

agreement is visible throughout <strong>Nestlé</strong> France every day. It is<br />

develop<strong>in</strong>g an <strong>in</strong>clusivity policy for all <strong>Nestlé</strong> France<br />

bus<strong>in</strong>esses <strong>and</strong> rais<strong>in</strong>g awareness of the value disabled people<br />

br<strong>in</strong>g to the bus<strong>in</strong>ess. The department also supports those<br />

employees with disabilities, f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g ways to improve their<br />

work<strong>in</strong>g environment.<br />

It places a great deal of emphasis on job retention, help<strong>in</strong>g<br />

those who become disabled dur<strong>in</strong>g their career to keep their<br />

positions, by mak<strong>in</strong>g the relevant adaptations to their work<strong>in</strong>g<br />

environment <strong>and</strong>, where necessary, provid<strong>in</strong>g tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g for<br />

everyone affected. To date, more than 240 people have<br />

received improved conditions, among the population of 811<br />

disabled people. Another important component of <strong>our</strong> strategy<br />

that is help<strong>in</strong>g us to make a difference is the prevention of<br />

disabilities, where we ensure that <strong>our</strong> employees are well<br />

tra<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>and</strong> we also cont<strong>in</strong>ue mak<strong>in</strong>g improvements to the 26<br />

factories across France.<br />
