Abstract
The presented network approach for business cooperation deals with the setup and enactment of
dynamic partnerships for job oriented production outsourcing. The focus is on the setup phase, more
precisely on the search for and proof of suitable service providers. Compared to existing platforms
for job outsourcing, the network concept is oriented on an automatic dynamic search.
The network concept is influenced by methods and structures of existing approaches for setup,
enactment and monitoring of cooperation activities. The difference to existing concepts lies on the
comparison between job requirements and possible manufacturing services.
In this thesis a search in stages is presented that exceeds the usual mapping of process needs and
process offers. One assumption that leads to this concept is the high variety of products and
manufacturing opportunities in the manufacturing industry. The mapping of all possibilities would be
inefficient. Furthermore the manufacturing skills are not the only criteria for decision making in job
outsourcing.
First steps of the provider search lead to a preselection of suitable service providers by matching of
manufacturing properties and obligatory criteria. In addition a further limitation of candidates by
matching of ranking criteria is processed in order to make the proof of free capacities on the
providers’ systems manageable.
The construction and analysis of reduction methods for multi‐criteria‐oriented limitation of
candidates as well as the selection of the most suitable method regarding to the outsourcing
network are the core scientific objects in this thesis.
For practicability verification of the outsourcing network and for reduction analysis execution a
prototype implementation for the printing industry will be done.
