living at Bennekom, Studied agricultural sciences at Wageningen. ·worked at
Phytopathol. Inst. Buitenzorg (Bogor), Java 1928-1950, later Exp. Agricultural
Station Makassar, Celebes.
He collected Aphididae and Paussidae on Celebes. His collection of Dutch
Lepidoptera (ca. 3,000 specimens from the vicinity of Roermond) was presented
to the Nat. llist. Museum Maastricht, 1931. He possessed an unique
collection of artefacts from the whole world. In 1953 an extensive collection
of prehistorical and ethnographical material was presented to the "Museum
