in chemistry at a secondary school at Naarden.
He travelled much and collected zoological specimens, a.o. birds and shells
from all over the world for the Zool. Mus. Amsterdam, In 1920 he collected
at the Mediterranean coast along the Riviera, along the French side of the
Channel, in 1921 in the region between Grenoble and la Grave (France), in
1922 on the Isle of Man. In 1926 he undertook a journey to the Himalaya and
to Travancore making collections for the Zool. Mus. Amsterdam. In 1937 a
collection of shells was presented to the Museum at Enschede. He was the
author of a dozen papers on Dutch mollusca between 1912 and 1922. Jutting
