He possessed an elabotate museum, including 799 stuffed birds, prepared by<br />

himself, 102 skeletons and a collection of living animals, His cabinet was<br />

sold 1841. Sale catalogue: "Nomenclature systematique du cabinet d'histoire<br />

naturelle et d'anatomie generale de feu Monsieur S.H.W. van Trigt, chirurgien<br />

a Dordrecht". His bird paintings (256 fine plates and sketches of 199<br />
