They made more than 20 large cabinets for rich amateurs (a.o. one for the<br />

collection of Louis Napoleon (q.v.)). Each cabinet contained several hundreds<br />

of microscopical objects, such as small insects, scales of fishes, parts of<br />

insects, sections of wood, zoophytes, sea-shells, etc. The largest of these<br />
