His cabinet was sold 1777 at 's-Gravenhage, cf. Vosmaer 1790. His library
was sold Dec. 1779 at 's-Gravenhage; about 75 water-colours of plants were
bought by Adr. van Rooyen and are now in the State Herbarium. Ons Amsterdam

1651 Painter at Amsterdam, he is said to have been a pupil of
Rembrandt. He also possessed an art trade at Amsterdam, where he lived at
the Lauriergracht from 1656 onwards. After the death of his wife in 1691 an
inventory of his belongings has been made.
He possessed a cabinet of shells, that was sent to England after his death,
