1651 Painter at Amsterdam, he is said to have been a pupil of<br />

Rembrandt. He also possessed an art trade at Amsterdam, where he lived at<br />

the Lauriergracht from 1656 onwards. After the death of his wife in 1691 an<br />

inventory of his belongings has been made.<br />

He possessed a cabinet of shells, that was sent to England after his death,<br />
