His anatomical collections were well-known in his own days, now as "Museum<br />

Bleulandianum" in University Utrecht. In 1816 King William I financially<br />

supported its acquisition by the University. Later on the collection was divided<br />

into a zoological and a medical part. The zoological part became the<br />

basis for the <strong>Zoological</strong> Museum Utrecht. Bleuland published a description of<br />

his cabinet, containing 2,000 specimens in 1828: "Descriptio musei anatomici<br />

quod Regis munificentia Academia Rheno-Trajectinae concenssit", cf. Witkamp<br />

1888, p. 306. Descriptions and drawings of the most important items of his<br />

river Vecht. First married Hans de Wolff, a nephew of J. van den Vondel<br />

(1649-1670), then with Sybrand de Flines (1674-1697). The great poet Joost<br />

van den Vondel (1587- 1679) became her uncle because of her first marriage<br />

and made some occasional poems for his niece (see Works of Vondel, e.g. Alb.
