He possessed the head of a Mosasaurus hoffmanni, found by J. L, Hoffmann<br />

(q.v.) in the lands of Godding. This head is now in the Mus. d'Hist. Nat.<br />

Paris. A plaster cast is in the "Rijksmuseum van Geologie en Mineralogie" at<br />

Leiden and in the Nat, Hist. Mus. Maastricht. His small collection of fossils<br />

was visited by P. Camper (q.v.) in 1782, cf. J.G. Keup 1792, Lebensgeschichte<br />

des verewigten Petrus Camper, p. 65. M. van Marum 1790: Beschrijving<br />

der beenderen van de kop van een visch, gevonden in de St. Pietersberg<br />
