Aug. 1951t Nijmegen. Schoolmaster at Enschede and Schayk, then teacher of
biology in a.o. Schiedam. After 1916 he departed for the Dutch East Indies,
and became entomologist at the Deli Experimental Station at Medan, Sumatra.
TI1en entomologist at the Institute for Plant Diseases, Bogar (Java), in 1923
sent out to Africa.
Collected land- and water-molluscs and did malacological research. Many molluscs
from Africa in Zool. Mus. Amsterdam. Necrol. by F.C. van Heurn, May
