- 25 Oct, 1821 Velsen, on his estate "Velserbeek". Merchant and banker,
Keizersgracht near Wolvenstraat.
At his estate "Velserbeek" he possessed several animals, a.o. an ape from
Ceylon, a goat from Guyana, ribs of whales and many American plants. Also a
famous cabinet of antique art in Amsterdam. In 1848 he was enobled, Argenville
1780, p. 356 (cabinet in Amsterdam); Sander 1783, I, p. 580 (v. 1776
on his magnificent estate Velserbeek (Goel)); p. 561 (cabinet at Amsterdam
