Valek Lucassen (q.v.), D.L. Wttenboogaart (q.v,), D. MacGillavry (q.v.) and<br />

Sept. 1963 Wassenaar. Son of Lodewijk <strong>Hendrik</strong> Daniel de Vos tot Nederveen<br />

Cappel ( q. v,). In 1901 he went to the <strong>Dutch</strong> East Indies, where he occupied<br />

several posts in Deli, Padang, Bali, Djokjakarta and Bandung, In 1934 he returned<br />

to Holland. From the Indies he sent insects to his father. After his<br />

return to Holland he often worked on the RMNH.<br />

He possessed a collection of Coleoptera which between 1938 and 1943 was presented<br />

to the RMNH (38,452 specimens). G.L. van Eijndhoven, in: Entom. Ber.<br />

(q.v.). Unemployed. Possessed a collection of Lepidoptera, etc., that was<br />

1632. VOSMAER, Aernout - 23 Sept. 1720 Rotterdam - 15 Jan. 1799 's-Gravenhage.<br />

Businessman, from 1751 on living at 's-Gravenhage. He was Director of<br />

the menageries and of the "Natuur- en Kunstcabinetten des Stadhouders",<br />

which were founded by the widow of Prince William IV in 1756 after she had<br />

bought Vosmaer's own cabinet (see Oranje). It was continued under William V,
