Together with his father he founded the Museum Vrolik, In 1869 the collection was bought by a commission of the citizens of Amsterdam for Dfl. 12,000.-- and offered to the town to be placed in the Athenaeum Illustre (Kerbert 1926, p. 4, note 4), It contains human anatomy, patholoy and teratology and also zoological preparations. The zoological part came in the possession of "Artis". The other part wi 11 be placed in the Academical Medical Centre, Amsterdam in 1985. Vrolik wrote a "Catalogue du Musee Vrolik", which was completed in 1865 by Dusseau.
