in the Dutch East Indies as Assistent Resident. He was stationed in Palembang
(Sumatra) 1926-1928; in the Western Part of Borneo 1928-1934; after expiry
of his study leave in Europe in Palembang again Dec. 1936-1938; at Manado
(Celebes) 1938-1941; since 1941-1942 at Makassar. In 1949 he worked at
the RMNH.
He collected plants, esp. Rafflesiaceae, Orchidaceae and Nepenthaceae. Horn
