TEENSMA, Benjamin - 1905 Tjimahi (Java) - 26 April 1977. Worked on Sumatra since 1929; since 1940 employee of the "Koloniale Bank"; repatriated 191+6. He collected molluscs, also by exchanging and buying. In 1977 his collection, together with documentation, came in the Nat. Hist. Mus., Maastricht. Nat. Hist. Maandblad LXVI, 1977, p. 176 (portr.). 1506. TEMMINCK, Coenraad Jacob - 31 March 1778 Amsterdam - 30 Jan. 1858 Leiden. Son of Jacob Temminck (q.v.), continued his cabinet of birds. He often stuffed birds himself and had a special method to prepare fishes. In 1807 he edited: "Catalogue systematique du cabinet d 'ornithologie et de la collection de quadrumanes de C,J, Temminck, avec une courte description des oiseaux nondecrits".
