1696. WIND, Paulus de - 8 May 1714 Middelburg - 1 Febr. 1771 Middelburg at<br />

He possessed a collection of insects and other animals in liquor, 2 cabinets<br />

of shells and a collection of anatomy. Sold 17 Dec. 1771 at Middelburg<br />

(Boekh. 382). His collection of bladder-stones is in the Museum of the<br />

1697. WINTER, Lucretia Johanna van - 1785 - 1845. Daughter of Pieter van<br />

Winter (q.v.), she married 1822 with <strong>Hendrik</strong> Six (q.v.).<br />

Her father's shell collection was assigned to her 20 Dec. 1817. The collection<br />

was later bestowed on "Artis" (probably by <strong>Hendrik</strong> Six). Jutting 1939,<br />

1698. WINTER, Pieter van - 16 Febr. 1745 Amsterdam - 20 April 1807 Amsterdam.<br />

Lived at the Keizersgracht, near the Westermarkt. Merchant, maecenas,<br />

collector. Commander of the <strong>Dutch</strong> East India Company.<br />

In 1792 he bought the 1st instalment of the shell collection Brandt (q.v.)<br />

for Dfl. 3, 300.--. His shell collection in a wallnut cabinet with plateglass<br />

windows was 20 Dec. 1807 assigned to his daughter Lucretia Johanna van Winter<br />
