from the famous cabinet of L. Vincent (q.v.). Sale catalogue of collection
1779 mentioned by Vosmaer 1790. Scheurleer 1967, p. 27 (sale 17 April 1779).
In a copy of Rumphius' "Rariteitenkamer" illuminated by Merian ("Artis") it
is mentioned that A. Vosmaer got the cabinet from the heirs of Jhr. P. Bout

species and races belonging to the Dutch fauna) and a Collectio peregrina
(ants from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, America and Conga together ca.
800 specimens) Later on he also collected Hymenoptera and Odonata. Nat.
